Zapier MCP works with any AI client that supports the Model Context Protocol over Streamable HTTP. You connect from inside the client itself, which is the fastest way to start. Zapier MCP connects your AI to 9,000+ apps and 40,000+ actions so it can take real actions during your conversations: send messages, create tasks, look up data, update records, and more. Most clients connect through OAuth. You point the client at the Zapier connect URL below and authenticate with your Zapier account. Zapier creates and sets up your server for you, and your agent discovers its tools automatically.

Using another client

Zapier MCP works with any MCP-compatible client, not only the ones listed above. If your client is not listed:
  1. Check your client’s documentation for MCP support. Look for references to “Model Context Protocol” or “MCP servers”.
  2. Confirm your client uses Streamable HTTP transport. Zapier MCP does not support SSE.
  3. Point the client at https://mcp.zapier.com/api/v1/connect. If your client cannot complete an OAuth flow, authenticate with a connection token instead. Follow Authenticate with Zapier MCP.
