Privacy Policy

Tyconix LLC • Last Updated: 5/22/2026

Overview

Tyconix LLC ("Tyconix," "we," "us," or "our") provides a predictive player intelligence platform for game studios. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We operate in two capacities:

  • As a data controller for information our studio customers ("Clients") provide when creating accounts and using our platform (names, emails, billing info).
  • As a data processor for player behavioral data that Clients send to us through our SDK. We process this data on behalf of our Clients and according to their instructions.

We do not collect or store players' personal information. Player data transmitted through our SDK is identified only by a randomized, pseudonymized identifier (UUID) assigned by the Client's integration.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Client Account Information (Controller)

When a game studio signs up for Tyconix, we collect:

  • Contact information (name, email address)
  • Company or studio name
  • Billing and payment information
  • Technical configuration preferences (Signal definitions, SDK settings, retention policies)

1.2 Player Behavioral Data (Processor)

When a Client integrates our SDK, the SDK transmits behavioral telemetry events to our platform on the Client's behalf. This data includes:

  • A randomized player identifier (UUID) assigned by the Client's integration
  • Behavioral event data (e.g., session events, round outcomes, in-game friction events, progression milestones)
  • Timestamps and session metadata

We do not collect: player names, email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, location data, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information from players. The Client controls what data is transmitted through the SDK.

1.3 Content Moderation Data (Optional)

Clients who opt into our content moderation feature may submit player-generated text content for analysis. This data is processed through OpenAI's moderation API. Clients must separately agree to OpenAI's data processing terms before enabling this feature. See Section 5 for details.

1.4 Usage and Analytics

We collect standard usage data about how Clients interact with our dashboard and platform, including page views, feature usage, and error logs.

2. How We Use Information

2.1 Client Account Information

We use Client account information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Tyconix platform
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Communicate about service updates, technical issues, and support
  • Improve our platform and develop new features

Legal basis (GDPR): Performance of our contract with the Client, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our service.

2.2 Player Behavioral Data

We process player behavioral data solely to:

  • Compute behavioral profiles and predictive Signals as configured by the Client
  • Deliver those Signals back to the Client through the SDK and webhooks
  • Generate aggregated, non-identifiable analytics visible in the Client dashboard

We do not use player behavioral data for any purpose other than providing services to the Client who transmitted it. We do not combine player data across Clients. We do not sell player data to third parties.

Legal basis (GDPR): We process player data as a data processor on behalf of our Clients. The Client is responsible for establishing their own lawful basis for collecting and transmitting this data.

3. Data Sharing and Sub-Processors

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties.

We use the following sub-processors to provide our services:

  • Network isolation between Client environments
  • Regular security monitoring and logging

4.3 Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting Client data, we will notify affected Clients without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach, consistent with GDPR Article 33 requirements.

5. Content Moderation Feature

Our content moderation feature is an optional, separately enabled service. When enabled:

  • Player-generated text and/or image content is transmitted to OpenAI's moderation API for analysis.
  • OpenAI processes this data according to their own data use policies. As of the last update of this policy, OpenAI's API data usage policy states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
  • Clients must review and accept the implications of this third-party processing before enabling the feature.
  • This feature can be disabled at any time, after which no further data is sent to OpenAI.

No other Tyconix features involve third-party data processing of player data.

6. Data Retention

6.1 Player Behavioral Data

Retention periods for player behavioral data are configurable per Client and depend on the Client's subscription tier. Clients can view and adjust their retention settings in the Tyconix dashboard. When the retention period expires, data is automatically deleted.

Upon termination of a Client's account, all associated player behavioral data is deleted within 30 days.

6.2 Client Account Information

We retain Client account information for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and accounting records).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your information, and opt out of the sale of your information. We do not sell personal information.

8. Children's Privacy

Tyconix does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Our services are provided to game studio Clients, who are responsible for complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations in their jurisdictions.

Clients whose games are directed at or accessible to children under 13 are required under our Terms of Service to ensure appropriate parental consent mechanisms are in place before transmitting any data to Tyconix.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Clients of material changes via email or through the platform dashboard at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
